Beyond just getting Emily a camera, this group present will be a great way to show Emily how many people love and care for her. To do this, I will be creating a video that I will show her on her birthday. I think it would be great if everyone who chips in to make this happen could either send a picture with a note or a video that wishes her a happy birthday (even if you can't help out at this time please send a birthday wish!).
You can either email me your picture and note drew(dot)loizeaux(at)gmail(dot)com. If you want to include a video the easiest way for me would be for you to upload it to google docs/drive and then share it with me at the email above. If you do not know how to do this or do not have google, email me and we can work something out through another site or I can walk you through the process.
I will post the final video online for all to see and will also try to record a video of her watching the video so that you can enjoy seeing her reaction.

The Camera - Cannon Rebel T3i
This is the camera we are going to get for her! Check it out! It is a great camera that will allow her to take HD videos, record sound and take great stills!
Also, If we somehow manage to get over the $750 mark we will try to get a more versatile lens (18-135mm).
